Singapore 4 Days Itinerary

Day 1 – When the Plane Lands

Target: Singapore Zoo + Singapore River Safari + Singapore Night Safari

Why:

(i)             All three destinations are next to each other so the itinerary can be adjusted as per the plane timing

(ii)            All three destinations are bit out of the city so it cannot be combined with any other city attractions

(a)   If your plane lands between 12 AM – 8 AM: Cover Singapore Zoo + River Safari + Night Safari

(i)             Changi airport is a good place to spend time till 8 AM as most of the attractions opens then (also normally hotels will give checking only at 12 PM/ 2 PM.)

·       Changi has four terminal which is connected between each other with free MRT service. If you have landed before 8 AM and your hotel check-in is only at 12 PM/ 2 PM - check for a free sleeping pod or free massage chairs or comfortable sofas kept at convenient location at all the terminals. If you are more adventurous – you can visit free movie theatre, free gaming junction, free butterfly garden, etc. Also if you are not on shoe string budget – you can use various lounges which give direct access to travellers at nominal charges. Check the Changi Airport guide kept at all the terminals.

(ii)            As you will be having luggage, so it is advisable that at approx.  8 AM – take a GRAB from Changi airport to take you to your hotel. Almost all hotel in Singapore provides baggage drop facility – so you can keep the baggage at your hotel and then take the Grab directly to Singapore Zoo. Approx 20 SGD will be the charge of GRAB from airport – hotel – Singapore zoo.

·       Alternatively you can take a MRT or the bus destined to your hotel from airport. But do note that almost in these cases, your time factor will increase manifold. Also, for most hotels – you have to travel from MRT or bus drop to your actual hotel in Singapore’s normally blazing hot climate. This will make you tired and will impact your complete day which ideally you should spend enjoying Singapore.

(iii)          Your Singapore schedule for the day should be – Singapore zoo then river safari and the night safari. Please note that the timing of all these three attractions are made in such way that all three attractions can be completed in a single day. Also a day is enough for completing these three attractions.

(b)   If your plane lands between 8 AM – 1 PM: Cover River Safari + Night Safari
This is actually ideal time to land in Singapore. If this is the landing time, go to your hotel, freshen up and be ready for an exciting day ahead. Today plan for River Safari + Night Safari.

·       Most of the River Safari is in shade so can be done in the day itself.

·       This is the last activity of the day. And this is the must.

·       Night safari is more of an experience and exceptionally managed overall

·       Night Safari is comprises of one ride and 4 walking trails
