Siddharth Shukla - Big Boss’s/ Salman Khan’s New Favourite
Big Boss in its season after season has proved through its seasons that the murk hidden deep behind the mask of simplicity is a common factor for all - irrespective of a commenter or a celebrities. In its 13th season, the program is continuing its legacy and ensuring that the murky nature of human thought process remains a consistent presence in the show. The presence of so called and so many celebrities has only exaggerated the same.
The format of the Big Boss is so that its creates strong opinions among the masses. So far so good. But the real problem arises when the host of the format whose job is to be impartial strongly appears to be siding with one or the other party. It has happened in the past when the shows host - the ever gentlemen Salman Khan has appeared to favour selected contestants. But in season 13, it appears that even before the show starts - Big Boss and Salman Khan has decided that Siddharth Shukla can do no wrong,

1. Voot the official partner of the Big Boss has title literally enforcing the macho image of Siddharth Shukla. Just swap the voot app and see the titles and the cover image they are using everyday. Siddharth Shukla can be found on more than 50% of the same. Shukla is fighting, he is chilling, he is planning, he is the leader, he is the aggressor and so on as so forth. Big Boss is ensuring that no one forgets who is the most visible face in the house.
2. Weekend Ka Vaar: Have your seen the episodes of Salman Khan. He credits himself in taking the task of the contestants. Good, he should take - this is his work. But Sir, there is still some erred members who are not getting reprimanded. In the episode dated Oct 26th - Salman was angry, actually very angry. He has shown the “mirror” to everyone except - Yes, you guessed it right - Siddharth Shukla. Throughout the episode - Shukla sat with a menacing smile literally enjoying the plight of other contestants. Khan during the Show toile to Rashmi - “it appears that you only have one agenda which is to engage with Siddharth Shukla.” For a senior actress like Rashmi Desai - such thing are simply comment on their intentions.
3. Ignoring the rowdy nature of Siddharth Shukla: Time and again, Siddharth Shukla has shown its aggressive side. Further Shukla has been simply unapologetic about the same. But its all good. There is a concept of action and reaction getting explained now in Big Boss. The concept is Yes - he did it but first you did it. For any action of Shukla, which sometimes is simply bordering on the physical level - Big Boss is ignoring the same. The simple strategy seems to be - let Shukla do his macho things, then there will be reactions and reactions are goos for the TRP.
One of the basic expectation from any host is not only to appear neutral but also to be neutral. With every passing day of Big Boss 13 - Salman Khan and Big Boss is losging the confidence on the same.
